Irene (Gert) Narosky Allendorph, 82, of Cohoes passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy after a brief illness on Thursday, November 13, 2014 with her family by her side. Born in Cohoes, educated in Cohoes High School and was the daughter of the late Fred and Grace Hurd Narosky. Mrs. Allendorph was a homemaker, she enjoyed Bingo, reading, plants, caring for the family and an occasional trip to Saratoga Casino. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 50 years, Donald Allendorph. She is survived by her children, Carl (Rebecca) Allendorph of Cohoes, her daughter Kimberly Fan of Schaghticoke, her grandchildren Joseph (Nicole) Fan of Canada, Jeremy Fan of Schaghticoke, Daniel Knorowski of Clifton Park, Aarin Allendorph of Cohoes and Ava Rose Allendorph of Cohoes. Also survived by her sister Jean Reskemeyerof Cohoes, niece Barbara Green of Cohoes, nephew Ed Reskemeyer and Brother-in-Law Charles Allendorph of Cohoes. Funeral Monday 11:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Mother Geraldine Clemmons officiating. Interment in Waterford Rural Cemetery, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:30am to 11:00am.
